The three transitions that eat a day
North-to-south days
Moving from the Galilee to the Dead Sea takes a significant part of a day. Plan the drive and one useful stop together, with enough room for arrival at the next hotel.
Jerusalem days
Give Jerusalem’s Old City a full day, with time for the walking route and your licensed guide. Your driver connects the hotel and agreed pickup points.
Seven days
Two bases: Tel Aviv followed by Jerusalem, with one hotel change. Adjust the nights in each city to your arrival and departure flights.
Days 1–3, based in Tel Aviv: arrival and recovery, the city and Jaffa, and a day out to Caesarea or straight up to the Galilee.
Day 4: travel to Jerusalem, with a visit or lunch stop along the route.
Days 5–7, based in Jerusalem: the Old City with a licensed guide, a day out to Masada and the Dead Sea, and a final day for the museums or whatever the first week made you curious about.
For a seven-day visit, we recommend time in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem with selected day trips. Add two nights in the Galilee for a fuller northern itinerary.

Add a northern block with two nights in the Galilee, then connect it with Tel Aviv and Jerusalem around your flights.
An overnight base makes room for selected visits in Nazareth, Tzfat or the Sea of Galilee. A winery or further lookout needs its own time and access arrangements; we assess the requested stops together before setting the route.
Ten days gives many first-time visitors room to combine regions without rushing, but the right length depends on your dates, priorities, and the route you want to confirm.
Fourteen days
Use Tel Aviv, the Galilee and Jerusalem as a starting point, then choose one southern stay or more time in the same hotel bases. Count arrival, hotel changes and departure within the fourteen days.
Days 1–3: settle into Tel Aviv, with time for Jaffa and your chosen city visits. Keep one day flexible for the hotel, the beach or an independent visit.
Day 4: travel north with one chosen coastal stop, such as Caesarea. Use Days 5–6 for selected Galilee visits from a northern hotel, choosing among the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth and Tzfat.
Day 7: move to Jerusalem. Days 8–10 can include the Old City with a licensed guide, a museum or heritage visit, and a Masada and Dead Sea day. We order the visits around your dates, reservations and walking pace.
Days 11–12: choose the Negev and Ramon Crater, Eilat and the Red Sea, or extra time in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. Keep the southern option to one stay. For a Ben Gurion departure, plan the return to your final hotel on Day 13 and the airport transfer on Day 14 around the actual flight time.

Is a week enough for Israel?
A week can focus on Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and a selected Dead Sea day, with arrival and departure shaping the time available. For several northern visits, allow an overnight block or reduce stops elsewhere. We assess the route against your flights, hotels and walking pace before confirming it.
Do we need a car for the whole trip or just some days?
Choose RT Tours for selected driving days or a connected multi-day plan built around your hotel changes. A Tel Aviv checkout with a stop en route to Jerusalem and a touring day the next morning gives us two days of travel to coordinate; a free day spent walking near your hotel needs no retained driver. We recommend the vehicle, luggage arrangement and driver hours for each booked day and coordinate any licensed guiding you choose. How far is everything, really?
Travel times between Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, and the Galilee vary with traffic, route, stops, and access. We estimate the journeys for your date and build the day around a realistic pace.

Compare the complete journeys from your actual hotels, including the available flight schedule, airport transfers and check-in. Driving can include a planned Negev stop. Send your dates, luggage and onward destination so we can assess the road option alongside the flight arrangements you are considering.
Can you build the itinerary for us?

Do we need a driver and licensed guide on every day?
Choose the days requiring transport and the visits requiring licensed guiding. Your driver handles road travel and the vehicle; the separately arranged guide leads the visits. We plan independent time around your hotel and count any guide travelling in the vehicle as a passenger when selecting it.
What should a 14-day Israel itinerary include?
A fourteen-day first visit can connect Tel Aviv, the Galilee and Jerusalem, with one southern stay or extra time in those bases. Keep a rest day and count hotel changes, the return from the south and departure within the plan.
